NEW FUNDRAISING TOOL FOR THE LIBRARY!


     The Library has partnered with JUNIOR LIBRARY GUILD BOOK COMPANY to continue the Library's ability to provide good quality children's books and promote reading literacy.    We now have a link where online donations towards children's book may be made for us to purchase from the Jr. Guild or donations may be mailed directly to the Library.

DO YOU COUPON??    THE LIBRARY IS OFFERING MERCHANDISE/RESTAURANT COUPONS FROM THE PAPER FOR THE PUBLIC TO TAKE.    ONLY REQUIREMENT:  IF YOU TAKE A COUPON, LEAVE ONE THAT YOU WON'T USE SO THAT SOMEONE ELSE MAY BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM.


     

          


  THE LIBRARY IS LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS RESIDING IN FAIRMOUNT TOWNSHIP TO SERVE AS A LIBRARY BOARD TRUSTEE.  YOU MUST HAVE LIVED IN THE TOWNSHIP FOR AT LEAST TWO YEARS TO BE ELIGIBLE.

  A FOUR-YEAR TERM, THE BOARD MEETS THE SECOND WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH, 6pm AT THE LIBRARY.   PLEASE CONTACT LINDA FOR MORE INFORMATION.  NAMES ARE BEING TAKEN FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.

The Club will meet from 3:30-4:30pm.  Open to elementatry-aged children and will begin again in September.

All legal size, 8 1/2 x 14 are  .20c.  This fee is charged for all copies; computer copies, fax copies, and microfilm copies in black/white.            

 

  Color computer copies will be $1.15.

        NEW COMPUTER FILTERING PROGRAM ALLOWS SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES

         Due to this, access to any Social Networking site by juvenile patrons, ages 14-17, will require a parent/guardian permission slip.  

       No one under the age of 14 will be allowed on any Social Networking websites.

 

 

 

INTERESTED IN LEARNING HOW TO KNIT?

  Beginners and advanced meet every Wednesday at 7pm.  Class is usually held in the new library, except the 2nd Wednesday of the month when it meets in the Library Annex or at Knit 'n Purl (Sheila Spaulding).

0ctober, 2012:  Due to a funding shortage the Imagination Library program has been suspended.   It is hoped that it will come back, but it may have to be restructured another way.




 

 

 LIBERTY TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS (GRANT COUNTY):

 

YOU MAY NOW SIGN-UP FOR LIBRARY SERVICES WITHOUT BEING CHARGED FOR THE NON-RESIDENT STATE FEE.  THE LIBRARY AND THE TOWNSHIP TRUSTEE HAVE ENTERED INTO A CONTRACT WHERE THE TRUSTEE'S OFFICE WILL BE BILLED FOR THE FEE.

 

BRING IN PROOF OF ADDRESS TO OBTAIN YOUR LIBRARY CARD.  RESIDENTS MUST BE AT LEAST 6 YEARS OLD TO SIGN-UP FOR A CARD.
